Ninjask's Gen 6 OU Monotype Team Empty Ninjask's Gen 6 OU Monotype Team

Jask again! So this is my fabled and legendary Gen 5 OU Monotype team, that has 50+ Tourney wins under its belt. While it is a gorgeous team that was near-flawless in Gen 5, I find it at-par with the new Gen 6 teams (I blame weather nerf). This is unacceptable. So I request help in redesigning it for the new generation.

LEEROOY!!! (Garchomp) @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Aqua Tail

The infamous LEEROOY!!!™️. Known for Single-handedly destroying any team that isn't a steel or dragon monotype. Outrage to rape anything that doesn't resist it, Earthquake for anything that does, Fire Fang for coverage, and Aqua Tail as a joke. The obvious thing that I should do is make it Mega Chomp, but Mega chomp is... slow and itemless. If anyone can suggest a good Mega Chomp set though....

Bloop! (Gastrodon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Clear Smog
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Earth Power

Bloop! The cutest and most annoying member of my team. He is an excellent special wall, with decent defensive bulk, and pretty good Special attacker potential. As I play Hyper-Offensive, I forgo'd (forwent?, forgot?)
the usual Toxic and Protect Stallset. Scald for anything with water weakness or an intimidating attack stat (burn chance), Earth Power for anything else, Ice beam for coverage. Clear Smog is for anything that tries to set up. Why faze when you can Clear, and do damage? Only problem is steel types who setup.

HungryHippo (Hippowdon) @ Electric Gem
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Fang

Hippo. Most use as a physical wall. And I'll be honest, he's better as a wall. But so many people expect a wall, I normally get a kill or two from straight shock value. People use taunt, I use Earthquake. GG. This set is kind of self-explanatory, except for the item. Yes, that says electric gem. I use to have leftovers, like most, (then I took an arrow-) but I got Tricked into scarf so much, I finally got pissed and gave them something that any Trickster not named Rotom will find useless. It also allows my to occasionally OKHO Water types who are more fragile.

Alchemist (Golurk) @ Quick Claw
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Shadow Punch
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Alchemist. A huge Golem. He is my main counter for shit like Fighting and Normal Pokemon. Now, another self-explanatory set with a weird item. I get alot of shit for Quick Claw. Its completely luck based. But it has saved my ass more times than I can count. Besides, ALOT of shit is luck based. Anyone who has lost a match by a crit knows that.

Dovahkiin (Mamoswine) @ Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Spear
- Superpower

Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, naal ok zin los vahriin... Dovahkiin was a lifesaver in a generation filled with "Clever" Dragon monotypes. My gameplan for literally EVERY dragon or flying mono that I faced was "Set up rocks, MAMOSWEEP". But alas, The reign of Dragons is over, and the Dawn of the First Era is upon us. With new threats and WAAAY less monodragons, Dovah struggles in Gen 6. Ice Shard for priority heavy damage, Icicle Spear for more damage and breaking Whimsicott and Gliscor Substitutes. Superpower for killing other Mamoswines (that's also why I have 4 Speed and not the recommended Special Defense. I always won speed "ties"Wink, EQ just because.

Thud. (Nidoking) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt

Thud. The bane of pretty much anything that countered the rest of my team. He was the most recently added and iffy member of my team, but he often saved my ass. From water types, to grass types, to ice types, to even the new fairy types, I am finding, he has the answer for anything these other guys don't. Sludge Wave for STAB, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and TBolt for anything I can hit in its weakness. Scarf to outspeed the many threats that he kills.

Sidenote: I forgot to mention on Electric Gem, that even if rotom gets it through Trick, Electric gem is useless against my team. ;D
