DFB's Current OU Team
This is one of those teams where I just don't feel like running a spinner. Cloyster could be my spinner, but I'm using it as a Dragon-killing tank. You've got the standard Skill Link IcicleBlast. Shell Smash was added for that extra attack/speed Cloyster can sweep with. Toxic Spikes is for either first turn Cloyster's out or when he's about to die anyways and might as well set up a hazard.
Sort of a standard Ferrothorn. Power Whip is it's best STAB move (besides Gyro I guess). Gyro Ball's a bit odd without Curse, but Ferro's already so darn slow especially with 0 speed IVs. Stealth Rock is good. Thunder Wave is for the Parahax and crippling those big sweepers. If not crippling, then annoying.
May I present to you: not Dnite or Kyurem-B! Simply because Salamence is awesome and has been since gen 3 OU. Outrage on Salamence is one of the most deadly things on this team, especially with Moxie. Dragon Claw is an alternative if I don't want to be trapped into Outrage. Earthquake is just good. Fire Blast is for coverage with it's huge base power. Ya know, for killing Ferro/Foretress.
I'm using Close Combat because Scarf Lucario is fast enough to pull it off without worrying about the defenses drop. It does still fear Garchomp and things with Fire moves, however. Bullet Punch is for priority, coverage, and the fact that I love Bullet Punch. Earthquake is good. Ice Punch deals with Garchomp/other Dragons.
Volcarona is a boss. Bug Buzz/Fiery Dance are for dual STABs plus they take down stuff like Alakazam, Latios, Ferrothorn, Foretress, etc. Giga Drain deals with Water/Ground types. Quiver Dance is there to make Volcarona a speed tank.
Latias is my favorite legendary, hands down. Dragon Pulse deals with other dragons quickly, because Latias is faster and bulkier than you might think. Surf/Thunderbolt are for coverage and stuff. Calm Mind is there because, of course, Latias wasn't enough of a tank .

Re: DFB's Current OU Team
Latias always saves me late game. One time I was playing a Sand Team, and Latias was my last Pokemon. She blew through 4 full-health Pokemon with just 1 CM + Dragon Pulse. It was awesome. Too bad I didn't save the replay .Grumpig The Piggy wrote:Latias might get killed by Scarfed Dragons. anyways nice team. Good job
